This month, our editorial theme has been about people kick-starting their careers—or, at least, trying to. (Appropriately, I failed to do my job and create an official intro post for it.)

Yesterday, Bridget reminded us that we all start our careers somewhere. It could be as a barista, an intern, or, yes, an air-freight handler. These jobs may seem menial, but there’s value in any work experience—and not just because of the paycheck that comes with it (though that is nice).

Tossing aside your work, like the guy in this video tosses boxes, won’t make you any happier in a job you don’t find fulfilling. Instead, respect your journey not only to employment but also through it. You never know what skills you learn that could eventually pay off. I mean, this guy probably lost his job with this airline, but he’d be perfect for United …
