Daily interest news of the dayI’m back after a day off (no, I wasn’t in smartphone rehab) with all the news that caught my eye from around the Web.

  • Missy Franklin (excuse me, gold-medalist Missy Franklin) is one of the big stories of this year’s Olympics. And while sponsors and endorsers are knocking on her door, she’s focused on something else: going to college.
  • I couldn’t resist this infographic from MoneySupermarket.com that details the cost of being Iron Man. This may need an entire post of its own. If Iron Man is at the expensive end of the spectrum, who’s at the low end? Has to be Superman, right? He’s just wearing tights and doesn’t even have to pay for a mask. Let me know what you think in the comments.
