Here at SALT™, we’re always looking for new ways to boost your money knowledge. Our latest? A brand new online community for students and alums just like you. We call it SALT Central.
SALT Central puts you in touch with our experts and your peers, giving you a place to talk about money, student loans, scholarships, and a bunch of other topics important to you. Here are just a few things you can do there.
Ask An Expert
Have a student loan question you just can’t seem to find an answer to? Post it in our Ask An Expert space, and one of our student loan counselors will respond to you in no time.
If you don’t want your question broadcast to the community, no problem. (Hey, we get it—loans can be a sensitive topic.) You can email our experts your question directly to receive a private, personalized response.
Find Fresh Content From Old Favorites
Want to read more from SALT bloggers like Anna Marden, Mike Restiano, and Courtney Buohl? Head over the community—we’re posting new content from them and other SALT blog contributors on a daily basis.
For instance, check out this batch of scholarships with January 2015 deadlines from Diane Melville. Or, join this conversation from Sasha Laferte about inexpensive holiday gifts. Or, learn about the three types of cover letters Amanda Abella says you need to avoid; then, ask her why! It’s never been easier to interact with our group of student and alumni experts.
We built this community to feature a space for every savvy student, with sections dedicated to careers, paying for college, student loans, and more. Jump into each to read posts, get advice, and follow the ones that interest you, so you get automatic updates about their activities.
And, of course, we want you to chime in with your own expertise too. Ask questions, respond to others’ queries, vote in polls, and post your own blogs. There are tons of ways for you to get involved in SALT Central—and to earn badges and others prizes for your efforts.
Members Only …
While anyone can view the conversations within SALT Central, you need to be a SALT member to post content, follow places, and start earning rewards. Joining is 100% free—and doing so will get you access to everything that saltmoney.org has to offer as well.
