Isn’t this a more relaxing, different way to think about money?

The SALT™ Blog helps college students and young alums with personal finance. Bored by the mere mention of “personal finance”? Don’t run away—or start skimming—just yet. We can explain.

Many students are clueless about their loans, and “into a spreadsheet” is one of the last places their money is going. If this sounds like you, it’s OK. In fact, it’s understandable; “personal finance” probably bores you because it doesn’t feel personal at all.

So Here’s What We Do

We talk about loans, budgeting, careers, and those other financial topics. But we do it in a way that’s fun, different, and relevant—with stories from people where you are (or where you’re going) and conversations about food, pop culture, or anything else that can seriously (or sometimes not so seriously) relate to money and your life.

We don’t tell you what you should and shouldn’t spend money on—your cash, your choice. But we do hope the ideas we share heighten your awareness around these decisions, so you make money savvy choices that work for you.
